How to Play
- Goal: Beat the dealer by getting closer to 21 without going over.
- Card Values: 2–10 = face value, J/Q/K = 10, Ace = 1 or 11.
- Deal: You and the dealer each receive 2 cards. One dealer card is face-down.
- Hit: Take another card.
- Stand: Keep your current hand.
- Double Down: Double your bet and receive exactly one more card.
- Split: If you have a pair, split into two separate hands.
- Insurance: When the dealer shows an Ace, you can bet on the dealer having Blackjack (pays 2:1).
- Dealer Rules: Dealer must hit on 16 or below, stands on soft 17.
- Blackjack: A natural 21 (Ace + 10-value) pays 3:2.

Optimal play: The 0.50% house edge assumes perfect basic strategy. Deviations from basic strategy can increase the house edge to 2–4%.
Insurance: Insurance is a side bet with a house edge of ~7.4%. Basic strategy says always decline.
